"No se pa donde voy, pero se de donde vengo" (I don't know where I'm going, but I know where I'm from) is a large-scale, interdisciplinary installation.

It features vehicles of transportation, words written on walls, a cave, and projections that envelop all physical structures. Stepping into this installation is like entering a gallery of personal narratives—my narratives. I call them mine because they are a collection of memories and remnants that hold deep personal meaning.

There's a boat, a canon, a train on tracks, and a metaphorical cave crafted from heavy-duty steel wire. They span from the tumultuous arrival of the Spaniards to the era of locomotives/industrialization/American colonialism to my present moment of globalized placelessness. I project computer-generated imagery onto these structures, with water as a recurring theme - a defining feature of Panama's geography that has shaped its past. The projections also hint at journeys by water, train, and air, echoing Panamanian history and, more significantly, my journey as an immigrant. As a culmination, my voiceover weaves these experiences into a poetic tapestry that connects my current American socio-political context with Panamanian history.

My work explores Identity, Migration, and Displacement. Identity becomes a compelling presence among these. My explorations have
rendered my Identity malleable and dual. It evolves from my Panamanian nationality and becomes the product of the experiences that migration generates. In deciphering my Identity, I primarily investigate Latin America's
historical interactions with Colonization, Imperialism, and Marginality. Consequently, I attach utopian resolutions to these conversations.
